Supplier network

The right material is only useful if a reliable supplier can deliver it in the right quality, quantity and documentation. We help you find, compare and select packaging materials and suppliers, drawing on contacts built up over many years in European industry.

Typical starting situations

A single supplier controls your supply of stretch film or cartons, a material is regularly late, or a customer in Austria asks you to change a pallet type that your usual source does not carry. Sometimes the question is simply whether a cheaper alternative exists that does the same job. Searching on your own is slow, and offers are hard to compare when specifications differ.

How we work

We follow our four-step approach. The supplier work typically sits in the third step, technical optimization and options, but it builds on the first two: you cannot source well without knowing what you use and what your customers expect.

First we write down the requirement profile: function, dimensions, load, quantities, delivery pattern and the evidence needed. Then we identify candidates, using long-standing industry contacts as well as new research, and ask for comparable offers and, where useful, samples. We assess the alternatives technically and economically, including aspects that are easy to miss, such as minimum order quantities, lead times, availability of data sheets and whether a supplier can answer questions about material composition.

What changes for EU customers

As EU customers ask more questions about materials, the supplier becomes part of your answer. Under the PPWR (Regulation (EU) 2025/40, applicable from 12 August 2026), declarations for single materials are helpful, but they are not automatically a declaration of conformity for the assembled packaging. We therefore ask suppliers early for the information you will later need, and we help you phrase such requests clearly. The results flow straight into your material review and documentation.

Result

You have a clear view of which suppliers and materials fit your requirements, how they compare and what to try first. We do not act as a broker and make no promises about prices or delivery terms; those are negotiated between you and the supplier. To talk about a sourcing task, use the contact form.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell packaging materials?

No. PaMaLink is a consultancy and does not sell packaging. We help you define requirements, find candidates and compare them, and the purchasing decision stays with you.

How do you choose suppliers for a specific material?

We begin with a clear requirement profile covering function, dimensions, quantities, delivery and documentation. Candidates are then compared technically and economically, and samples are recommended before any larger order.

Can you help with suppliers outside the EU?

Yes, we can help assess them. Where their material ends up in packaging for the EU market, the documentation question matters as much as price, so we check early which evidence a supplier can provide.
